Lloyd "Snapper" Stein
Head Trainer |
" Many people see but fail
to observe. " - For 42 years "Snapper" Stein served as head
trainer for the University of Minnesota Athletic Department. As center
for the Gophers in 1928-29-30, he snapped the football to Minnesota's legendary Bronko Nagurski.
Lettered in 1930-31. Entered the Navy in 1942 and served four years. A
native of the Two Harbors, Minnesota, he retired in 1975.
Inducted into Helm Hall of Fame for Outstanding achievement as a trainer.
First recipient of Minnesota Viking ring for contribution to athletics.
